This week we are visiting the wild, wonderful, wacky Gallery of our Featured Stamper Brian aka ZPAW NOW. It is filled with humor, beauty and some questionable beings (I say this with the utmost affection as Brian knows I adore his work). I especially love Brian's nature scenes but for today I went with this lovely because it reminded me of my neglected hummingbird stamp: FS858 Humming Whispers by ZPAW Now at Splitcoaststampers
I have a stylized hummingbird as does Brian and I kept his pink but added gray and white. My strip is horizontal instead of vertical and I stamped my bg instead of embossing.
For my background, my light gray ink with too "warm" and my "cool" gray ink with too dark. So I went with the "cool" gray and did second generation stamping to lighten it a bit. I used the Misti for stamping as I went back in and randomly dabbed pink around the bg stamp with a Marvy Marker. I also used the very neat trick I learned from Julie (aka JustWriteDesigns) to modify my rectangle die into a square so I could get the stitching detail on the pink layer behind the bird.
Congratulations Brian on being selected Featured Stamper this week. I have always enjoyed your cards and the second time around was just as entertaining. I hope you enjoy all the cards made in your honor. I hope everyone has a wild, wacky, wonderful day. TFL

Gorgeous! The design, the stamped BG, and the beautiful hummingbird are superb as well as your coloring/shading. The layering/framing is spectacular. Outstanding work...

Beautiful card. I love the background as well as the awesome stamped top panel. Julie is so good with those die cut tips.

Debbie, this is a great case of Brian's inspiration card. The light gray and pink background is so pretty and sets off the beautiful hummingbird image perfectly. So pretty!

What a Beauty, Debbie! I Love the look of pink and grey with white cs and this card with the Amazing whimsical hummingbird is definitely a winner! Love what you've done with the bg and the design is very attractive as well. I learned to alter the dies from Mary Fish, and ever since, I've been altering away like on my card today~
